Trouble in Paradise?

Up at the crack of dawn, Maize begins a new painting.

A few hours later, she looks over the city as she waits for Triston to wake up.

"And even though we ain't got money, I'm so in love with you honey."

Triston's been in the bathroom awhile. I wonder what's going on?

Triston and Maize chat over a light breakfast.

And then burn off their breakfast calories.

Afterwards, Triston works on his charisma skill while Maize pretends to watch the TV. But we all know what she's really watching.

Wanting to get a leg up (literally) before work, Triston heads to the gym.

No, no, Geoffrey. You're not at all in the way of my shot.

Eye of the Tiger plays in Triston's head.

Meanwhile Maize enjoys a hot tea in front of the apartment complex.

She's looking for inspiration, and enjoying the morning peacefulness of the usually busy city.

It's not long before the plaza begins to fill up with all walks of life. Maize is content to sit and people watch.

She watches a street performer.

Despite her low funds, she offers him five simoleons, from one artist to another.

Feeling inspired, Maize heads home to continue writing her book.

And completes it!

"Who da bomb? I da bomb."

Triston hears the couple across the way in an argument when he comes home.

As Triston eats the dinner Maize made for him, she tells him about her day.

Before bed, Triston decides it's time he makes his points as to why he wants to buy a workout machine.

"Triston, we hardly even have the bedroom furnished yet! We have rent due next week! We can't afford this, I'm sorry."

"Look at this way, all the bus and subway fare I pay to get to the gym, not to mention my gym membership itself, adds up to a lot over time. This will actually be an investment."

"I thought work was going to pay for your gym membership?"

"Yeah, well they haven't yet..."

"I don't want a treadmill, or whatever, in here, Triston. It's too cramped as it is. Can't you wait until we have a house?"

"That'll be years from now, Maze! I really think this would increase my work performance!"

"No, Triston. Not now."

Maize gets up, signalling that's the end of the discussion.
